NJFA Privacy Statement
The New Jersey Forestry Association is committed
to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and security
of the personal information about members and their business
interest which come into our possession, is discovered by
us or otherwise entrusted to us.
The various categories of nonpublic information
that we collect from you may include information about your
personal finances including the names of your banking institutions,
information that we receive from you verbally, information
about your property to the extent that you deliver it to us
to discuss your forestry interests, information about transactions
between you and third parties which are involved with your
forestry interest and any other information that we receive.
We use this information only in our transactions with you.
Your mailing information, email addresses and
information of this nature is used by us to deliver written
material, notices of programs, and other items of interest
to you from time to time. We do not share this information
with any unrelated party. We will utilize information concerning
your mailing address to send information about a program to
you that is being sponsored by an organization which we think
has a purpose supportive of the purpose of the New Jersey
Forestry Association, and which notice we think may be of
interest to you. An example of such a notice would be the
annual notice of the Tree Farm Day. This example is meant
for the purpose of illustration and not limitation.
We do not provide your personal information,
mailing list, email, contact information or other personal
information to vendors, solicitors or commercial entities.
We require strict confidentiality in our agreements
with any affiliated third parties that require access to your
personal information, such as but not limited to clerical
processing sources that assist us with our mailing list.
Personally identifiable information about you
will be maintained while you are a member of the Association,
and for the required period thereafter. After that time, information
may be destroyed. This policy applies to both current and
former members.
A written copy of this Privacy Statement may
be requested in writing at any time. Any requests for information
can be directed to the administrative director of the New
Jersey Forestry Association at our office location where we
maintain a secure office, which includes a firewall barrier
to secure data encryption and other data maintenance in our
computer environment.
